Re: Opinions Wanted: nWoD

From a pure statistics standpoint, 3 dice in nWoD = 1 success. With the exception of contested rolls, one success is quantitively the same as 2-4 successes because nWoD doesn't use gradiations of success the same way many RPGs do, so having between 4-6 dice in a pool represents a pretty basic level ...

Re: Funney Quotes from Games

From a 2e AD&D pickup I'm running, Ea is the exiled queen of a once-great nation of Men and Elves, now reduced to chasing scarecrows and uncovering extortion rackets in small farming communities. About that extortion: Ea> "...What sort of idiot would charge a man more than twice what he mak...

Re: Dresden Files RPG

So you tell me. How would you adjudicate Harry's actions at the Red Court ball? Did he stain his soul with the accidental murder of innocents, or did his otherwise good intentions save him? I spit in the face of the adage "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." Michael Carpenter...

There's an island north and east of Japan where the Sun lives at night. The Russians and the Japanese have been fighting over it for years, and God help us if either of them ever wins.

Guys, guys. There is a simple explanation for why Deled has that scar.

It's what happens when you try to hog the Eagle. You think the Eagle wants to hang around Deled any more than anyone else does? :parrot:

Re: Deled's scar

Dragon-Blooded have the same resistances to scarring and maiming that any Exalted does.

Deled's scar could have happened before he Exalted.

Or it could have stuck around because it was significant in some way.

Creation is weird like that.

Agreeing with Kailan, a very nice example of First Age intrigues, which a lot of people forget in the wash of heroin-pissing dinosaurs and magical torture gardens and so on.

Also, welcome aboard! I hope we'll see more of you in the future.

Well, the first thing we'd want to look at is a list of what they do and don't have. They do have: access to advanced lore and knowledge. They might have: A Manse that can supply them with food and shelter, limited access to tools and supplies for experimentation, and essentially two "classes&q...

Re: The Scarred Warrior

You definitely do a good job of conveying your characters' pathos, which is something I applaud when I see it because a lot of fic writers (even professional authors) end up unable to do so and bring across characters that seem flat and uninteresting, so good job. There are some technical writing er...

Very nice work. I think you captured the Alchemical mindset very well across the board for all three castes that you were working with.

I especially like the Perfect, he seems like he makes a neat character with whom to play.

Re: Street Magic

I'm honestly surprirsed that no one else has commented on this. I like the pacing and the punchy opening, it gives it kind of a noir feel that I, at least, respond well to. I like the character a lot, it's nice to see an atypical Twilight (atypical examples of any caste, really) and I get the impres...
