Re: Forged, Part Six: Forged In Survival

Thanks! Now to sit back and see what our GM does with it. (Incidentally, hilarious quote from last session: GM: (reviewing the scene that Erebus and Invictus had just completed): "Let's see. Extortion, Assault, breaking and entering..." Me: "Hey, it was a bar! Invictus was t...

Forged, Part Six: Forged In Survival

And here we are at the conclusion. Anything after this point is play logs. Possibly, I will try to write up such play logs from time to time, but no promises there. ----- “Owww...” Groaning softly, Jamie shoved a girder out of his path, taking a deep breath of relatively clean air and gra...

Re: Charm Lists That Aren't Alphabetical

Yeah - if the previews of Risa and Falling Tears Poet were anything to go by, the Scroll of Exalts will be arranging Charms the way that the old Aspect Books did, which is also the way that Path does except with Excellencies given their own section. Also, in Taguro's defense, that character sheet wa...

Forged, Part Five: Forged In Vengeance

Almost done. Just one conclusion bit left to write after this. ----- “This had better be good, Redhill.” Colonel Dillinger practically growled the statement as he strode into the research lab, still in the process of buttoning up his military jacket. “It is very, very late at night.” “Good...

Anathos: Thanks! Maybe I can write up excerpts from some of our adventures. Probably not, because I know how much free time I (don't) have, but maybe. :)

Re: Forged, Part Four: Forged In Secrecy

No, but I see the confusion. Jamie was narrating the fake suicide note - it was Sarah's food that was poisoned, not Simon's, and the fake note had Kien taking the blame for that. But Sarah was actually the one who poisoned her own food, and was planning on pinning the blame on Kien. Too convoluted. ...

Re: The Sun will Rise Again, chapter one-Exaltation

Interesting. I certainly like the character concept. That being said, there are a few issues - pretty much all of the grammatical variety. First, and this is a little thing, this site doesn't do indents. Because of that, I strongly suggest (really, really, really strongly) that you put a line break ...

Re: Terrestial Inmaculate-Dragon character creation doubts

My suggestion would be, see if he's willing to let you start in experience debt, since he's the one that suggested going the Immaculate route. Spending your first 20 XP on Essence leaves you with those ten bonus points to spread out your character a bit, only leaves you slightly ahead of the group f...

Forged, Part Four: Forged In Secrecy

Still want to have all six parts done before next week. Fingers crossed! ----- “Owww…” Jamie sat back, breathing heavily. He wiped at his brow, instinctively, then remembered that he didn’t sweat anymore and smiled lopsidedly. “Okay. Starting to feel better. You know, if someone had asked ...

Re: Messing with Aspect Abilities

It's true that if you're working entirely towards elemental flavouring, my suggestions are rather useless. ;) I was thinking Lore for Earth in large part because having that knowledge of people and cultures seems like something that fits the stability and purpose direction you're going towards, and ...

Re: Messing with Aspect Abilities

*checks* With the note, of course, that Earth has Martial Arts in the Aspect Books and Water has Brawl, plus there's no War so Air actually are the generals due to having Lore... Of the Air Aspects, Meladus and Kasif each have only a few dots in their element - Lore and Occult for the former, and an...

Re: Messing with Aspect Abilities

Fair enough. I guess the question becomes, what's your goal? The existing clusters were designed originally to have each Aspect have a specific style - Air were the spies and loremasters, Earth were the builders and planners, Fire were the leaders and front-line fighters, Water were the criminals an...

Re: Messing with Aspect Abilities

I think this makes a certain amount of sense, but... the fact is, you can justify almost any Ability for almost any element with only a bit of effort. Let me use Eclipse as an example, because it's the hardest set and I'm too lazy to do the other twenty abilities. Bureaucracy - You've given the expl...

Forged, Part 3: Forged In Suffering

There is a chance that this is going to hit six parts, depending on how the next bit breaks down. I totally suck at short-form fiction. ----- “Where the hell are you going, Cole?” Simon Tate eyed Jamie suspiciously, as the two passed in the hall. “Lights-out was ten minutes ago.” “Co...

Thanks. I was trying to think of a poison, and then said heck with it. ;)

And yeah, evil super-soldier program. There's a reason they made those things illegal.

Part 3 probably up some time this weekend - fingers crossed. I'm trying to get all the parts done before next week for my ST.

Intriguing.

Is this part of a larger story, or a fragment from Rainbow's life? It works either way, but I am curious.

That is a very good image, actually! *claps*

It is, however, no longer up to date, since Making Money came out. That one would need a Direct Connection from Going Postal.

So I put the first part in the wrong forum. Whoops. The link to Part 1 is thus here . And as my stories do, this one is expanding slightly. Forged, Part 1: Forged In Battle (MnM)

Alright, so it seems I'm actually back to right something. This is a pretty short series, I expect - probably about four parts. It is the origin story for my character in an upcoming game of Mutants & Masterminds. As such, setting details are relatively light - think "generic superhero sett...

Yes, that's right. The Age of Blood and Bone is finally over! With it ends a truly frightening amount of my life. Age of Blood and Bone, Final Epilogue: Contentment

“Tenrek!” Tepet Fokuf, resplendant in his house colors, a golden circlet glittering on his brow, embraced his friend before he could react, grinning with amusement at the uncertain way that his friend returned his embrace. Stepping back, he gave Tenrek a look over. “How have you been doing? Jo...
