Shifting Path [commission]

24 Aug 2012, 09:04

Another one complete!

Image

Lots of fun with the anima banner. Thank you Path for this commission! I hope I caught your long-time character's uniqueness. :3

I'm all out of commissions at this point. If you want to be the first in line, send me a PM here or on my deviantart: http://blindeyeinsight.deviantart.com

Sweet! The design of the jacket is really nice, and I find the cheekbone sideburns to be very entertaining. Also, you did a good job with the anima-banner pose; I imagine that the sideways, twisted perspective must be a challenge to draw.

I've actually gotten really used to 3/4 angles. Somehow I'm most often defeated by front angles. Damn you symmetry!

Also, jacket design is entirely Path's.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

There was a book I read with angels in it, and they had these cool shirts to accommodate their wings. They had these cool chairbacks, too, as I recall. I wanted Path to have a similar design to accommodate his many (three) winged demi-forms, and since he made most of his own clothes (Craft: Everything) I could pretty much do what I wanted with them.

They're actually his Tell, and are raven feathers cresting his cheekbones. They were immensely expressive, puffing up when he got embarrassed or drooping when he was sad.

Thanks for the interest. :)

I like that tell! I always have trouble coming up with good tells for Lunars, but when you find a good one it can be very satisfying. The best ones are the ones that are interesting in human form and translate well to animal forms.

I have a webcomic: http://psitech.comicgen.com - Its kinda like exalted, except more furry, more fanservice, more fun, more sci-fi.
- may contain people being called "bob"

Some time ago I did a quick page of some of Path's most common forms including his tell. I'm fond of the snake with feathery cheeks.
