He wasn't dematerialized though. He was killed while materialized, so he'll reform in his house in Yu-Shan in a week or two.

Well it could be argued that the comic just switched into "can see dematerialized" mode, as it would be a very bad tactical choice for the spirit to materialize again just because he got hit. Materializing twice usually takes more motes than any spirit has, not to mention staying dematerialized would force Aiden to keep using charms to do anything against him. Or maybe Aiden forced him to materialize with some higher level Occult charm?
Or maybe Niz doesn't care and is taking some artistic liberty.
