This game sounds awesome.

Also, I've been reading the book a bit more thoroughly and the bit about Astramorte on page 127 was really funny, once I realized what they were doing.

Hey, the corebook already obliquely references Girl Genius! (Page 221, under "Surrender": "If I surrender, you will let Lady Agatha and Lord Gilgamesh go free?")

You laugh, but I'd already planned on including an alchemicraft steam train that travels on gasbag suspended rails between two towns on separate minor islands in the Sea of Stones.

Guys, I hate to do this, but I think I'm going to have to call the game this week. I've been feeling under the weather, and I don't know if I'm up to GMing tonight. Besides which, Kailan and I may not be back home in time for the game to start.

Sorry everyone. We'll make up for the lack of buckled swashes next week. :pirate:

Get better quickly. This is a command.

But seriously, these things happen, so really nothing to feel sorry over. Hope any ill feelings pass soon.

Hey guys, is there any chance we could possibly move the game to Sunday this week? A good friend of mine just reminded me that his housewarming party is tomorrow night, but I don't want us to miss two weeks in a row.

Works fine for me. Heck, everyone around here will be gone, so I'll be more free from distraction than normal.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be in the Santa Cruz mountains on sunday for the last couple of hours of my field work project. :(

I might make it home in time to play but it is a 3 hour drive so I wouldn't call it a sure thing. If it's possible, you can play without me?

Hey guys? Change of plans. Flence's grandmother is in the hospital and we've been going back and forth all weekend, so no game tonight. Sorry to do this two weeks in a row. :(

Next week will run at the normal time, though I will not be there (I have professional obligations that come first).

Augh. That is a sucky thing, both for Flence and the dear lady in question. Being in the hospital and having family in the hospital is no fun deal (says Captain Obvious). I hope she recovers quickly, for her sake and the sanity of you two (and all further extended family).

And no apologies! Not your fault, his fault, or her fault. Just shit happening, as it always does. Good luck with your own stuff on top of this, too.

...though it gives me more time to fiddle with this idea for a speech I started thinking might have to be made if the question of captaincy came up, should the Captain not survive his unfortunate wound.

Oh. Hey. So I didn't miss anything. Well... that's good.

(To clarify, I'd had family stuff as well that left me out of the house for the past 13 hours or so. It wasn't supposed to be quite that long, but suffice to say, I was in another state entirely when the game was called off. So we successfully failed at inconveniencing each other, apparently.)
