on your animal rules could you perhaps show some examples? I still don't get how it works to properly simulate random giant critters that need things like 20 dots of physical attributes.

That was one of the things I designed the system to mess with. One of the issues Lunars have is that a Str 1 Yeddim Totem Lunar in their totem form is stronger than a Str 5 Lunar making out their 1st Str excellency (barring Fury). As such, grabbing a Yeddim or Tyrant Lizard Totem gets you a form that's more combat capable than the DBT form.

I wanted to fix that, which is why the only way to get attributes beyond 5 is via size modification. Even then, you can only get up to Str 8. However, if you stack other mutations on top of that, you can probably get close to whatever it is you need. That was why I added in Strong Back, so that Yeddim could retain their gigantic carrying capacity without being engines of relentless destruction anymore. For other areas where animals might arguably have better attributes than humans, there's generally a mutation that covers it, from the ones that improve various senses to the ones that improve combat stats and soak.

But, yes, you can't really use these rules to build Mount Mostath. This is a Feature, not a bug.

THe "No losing Clarity" Essence core: how does this interact with Exemplar Charms? If you uninstall one with the Gem attuned and socketed (e.g with that Protocol), do you stay at the same total Clarity, and can you repeatedly uninstall and reinstall such a Charm to shoot up to Clarity 10 quickly?

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure how good the balance is on that one. However, there are enough ways to get to Clarity ten without using such shenanigans and the drawbacks are enough that I think it's ok. My main worry is that I'm underestimating just how stupidly useful Clarity 10 is.
